Name change to the underlying funds of various FSSA mirror funds

Notification of changes to the underlying funds of:
- R112 FSSA Asian Equity Plus
- R113 FSSA China Growth
- R118 FSSA Greater China Growth
(Together the “Affected ILP sub-funds”)
The Directors of First Sentier Investors Global Umbrella Fund plc (the ‘Company’) have notified us of upcoming changes to the underlying funds of the Affected ILP sub-funds. These changes take effect on 24 November 2026 (the “Effective Date”).
Rebranding of FSSA to First State Investments
FSSA Investment Managers, an affiliate investment team of First Sentier Group, will be rebranded as First State Investments (“First State”), returning to its heritage name. For nearly two decades, the investment team now known as FSSA was recognised as First State in markets around the world. The First State name has long been associated with investing in high-quality companies across Asia and emerging markets and continues to resonate strongly, particularly in heritage markets such as the United Kingdom and Asia.
Recent changes have created the opportunity to return to a name that many people still associate with the FSSA’s business, and in many cases continue to call the investment team today. Reverting to First State Investments allows the investment team to reconnect the business with its investment roots, build on a name that remains well respected and recognised, and provide a stronger platform to restore and strengthen market positioning.
The Company has said that whilst the name and visual identity will change, there will be no change to the way the business is managed and the investment philosophy. As a result of the changes mentioned in this notification, we will follow suit and amend the name of our Affected ILP sub-funds as follows:

These changes will take effect automatically and policyholders do not need to take any action.
We have contacted impacted policyholders and their financial advisers regarding these changes; primarily by e-shot, with letters sent by post where we do not hold a valid email, and to those who prefer to receive letters by post. A sample of the client communication can be found opposite.
